All books are described as accurately as possible. Bookplates and minor inscriptions are ignored in the description. Unless stated, all books are published in London, 8vo, in original bindings and in very good condition.
Some of the abbreviations used on this site are as follows:

- rep - reprint
- imp - impression
- TEG - top edge gilt
- EP - end papers
- FEP - front end paper
- pp - printed pages
- AEG - all edges gilt
- nd - no date of publication
